LOS ANGELES, CA - GINA AMIR ATELIER and SCHOOLHOUSE PICTURES are excited to announce the launch of a Fall/Winter Fashion Film Series exploring the headtrip that Miss ‘Rona has done on us all: Isolation, human connection, nature, memories, and female friendship, all wrapped up into a VHS Analog David Lynchian nightmare by Director Jason Avalos of Schoolhouse Pictures.
The official launch date for the first film is Halloween: Saturday, October 31, 2020. Producer Rachel Ann Mullins said "...the hysteria surrounding corona virus has warped our entire world but we still have diamonds! Adventure and female friendship are themes close to my heart cinematically and in reality."
Gina Amir Atelier bedazzles many of the biggest music and hip hop artists from her boutique in Beverly Hills (Keyshia Cole, David Foster), Black global creators (Karen Civil) and some of NBA’s ballers (James Harden).
When asked about the project, director Avalos said, “we pivoted from our initial vision for this series of videos. Just like many others, I was missing my friends during lockdown, and reminiscing about past adventures. That led us to the nostalgic 70s/80s arthouse vibe of this piece, which was a lot of fun to play with.”

If when you hear of a female Hip Hop singer you imagine an over-sexualized woman with nothing of substance to say, you better think again. Rita Rumproast is a real, lyrical, songwriting engineer, and her music is a Neo Soul vibe peppered with Rock & Hip Hop. When asked why she wants to join a genre mostly dominated by men, Rita says “I want to craft songs that elicit critical thought and are just as rich in soul as they are in substance.” Captivating crowds with her soulful voice, Rita’s belief is that she can reach through boundaries bigger than herself with her music and fight for a more inclusive space for artists like herself to thrive.
